Ford engineers have developed a unique PCM computer calibration that reconfigures all the necessary engine functions including fuel, spark, knock detection, torque management, transmission control and electronic throttle control. The Ford Performance PCM calibration set such new standards for engine control and monitoring that some 2008 model Ford production vehicles will be adopting these engine safeguarding strategies in the new software. The vehicles PCM constantly monitors the engine's torque output while monitoring many different engine parameters. If a parameter falls below the safe specifications, the PCM calibration will lower boost and torque output until the problem can be cured. No other calibration in the field has such technology, giving the Ford Performance supercharger system unheralded performance and reliability.
High Output System
Ford Performance developed and tested the biggest, baddest intercooled system available today. The Ford Performance High Output system boasts a massive aluminum air-to-water intercooler with a bar/plate design. This enormous intercooler mounts inside the cast aluminum long runner intake manifold. The air-to-water system stays cool with an oversized heat exchanger, nearly twice the size of some of the competition. The included Shelby GT500 high-flow fuel pump takes care of the extra fuel flow while the Ford Performance Procal flash tool reconfigures the factory PCM for incredible, reliable power. The Ford Performance High Output supercharger package pumps out an astonishing 550+HP at 6,000 RPM and over 542+ lb-ft at 4,000 RPM, all on 91/93-octane pump gas and a 100% stock engine and factory exhaust and emissions intact!

- Ford Performance 0 degree 16mm spark plugs are included for 2005-early 2008 style coil pack engineering number "3L3E". For late 2008-2009 engines with coil pack engineering number "8L3E" and 12mm spark plugs, Ford Performance recommends purchasing the optional 12mm 3V Cold Spark Plug Set sold separately.

- Ford Performance Procal tool allows the end user to re-calibrate the calibration for different rear end gear ratios and tire sizes.
- Ford Performance Procal tool will also allow the end user to read and erase diagnostic trouble codes.
- Due to multiple calibrations, online registration is required to receive the Procal tool after purchase. The supercharger is shipped with a Procal voucher to request the tool using the vehicle VIN at www.performanceparts.ford.com. Ford Performance will send the Procal tool and vehicle specific calibration to the address specified by the end user when the tool request is completed.
- Engine calibrations are developed and supported for US and Canadian market vehicles only. Other international market export calibrations are not supported.
- Engine calibrations are designed for stock engine configurations with factory emissions equipment. Cat-back and axle-back exhaust systems are compatible. Transmission upgrades are compatible.
- Aftermarket strut tower braces will not clear the supercharger.
- Hood blanket insulation may need to be trimmed or removed.
